The Javea Town Hall Department of Economic Development has launched a new Local Jobs Creation Board, a forum that will bring together business people, experts and professionals involved in vocational training, who are willing to develop ideas and proposals for jobs creation.
According to the Councillor for Economic Development, Juan Luis Cardona, the unemployment rate, which stands at over 2,000 people in the municipality, is the main concern of the executive, so they will try to investigate all possible courses of action that help to detect those emerging industries with the most new employment opportunities.
To this end, Cardona announced the launching this week of the new board, where ideas, proposals, projects or actions having to do with jobs creation in the short, medium and long term will be put forward. This new body will be composed of two technical experts from Creama, three local businessmen, a representative of the Association of Women in Business, MEJ, a senior school principal and staff members from other departments such as Youth and Social Services, as well as several Councillors. The local jobs creation board will meet each fortnight in the Casa de Cultura.
