The ISVH (Intersociedad de Vecinos Hispanofilos) in Javea, an umbrella group for residents of Balcon al Mar, Costa Nova, La Guardia Park and La Cala, has made a 1,000€ donation to Caritas this holiday season to help the needy.

Most of this money was raised at the Christmas Market, held a few weeks ago in Balcon al Mar which involved no fewer than 50 stands staffed by volunteers supporting the charitable initiative. 875€ were raised at the Christmas Market, to which they added further donations by the ISVH board, for a grand total of 1.000€. Erich Brenner, vice president of the association, handed the check over to Inmaculada Yanez, president of Caritas in Javea.

The group is already preparing a new fund raising event, the Easter Market to be held on Sunday April 1, in which they hope to raise more funds for charities.
